Everyone deserves to experience the magic of live theatre, but people who are deaf or have hearing loss often miss out – and some have given up on theatre entirely.
This playbook can help your venue implement Auracast™ – a wireless broadcast audio technology that uses Bluetooth® – to deliver excellent customer experience. It was made in collaboration with our partner, GN Hearing.

I would like theatres to offer modern, easy-to-use assistive listening systems that connect directly to hearing aids without requiring users to borrow separate receivers or neck loops.”

GN Hearing: our partner
To create this playbook, RNID has collaborated with GN Hearing, which has spent more than 150 years bringing people closer to what matters through intelligent hearing technology.
In 2023, GN was the first company to introduce an Auracast-enabled hearing aid, reflecting its belief that accessibility should be a shared standard, not a privilege. Auracast has since been included as standard in all new ReSound and Beltone hearing aids.
