Why you should offer customers Auracast
Customers who have tried it love Auracast. Those who haven’t, love the idea of it. Being able to access Auracast directly from their own hearing devices is the ‘gold standard’ for accessible audio.
Some of the audience feedback says that this is the best listening system that they’ve ever experienced.”
– Head of Audiences and Marketing, Delfont Mackintosh Theatres
We now have regular users who come and use the Auracast system alongside the captions as well. They like to have both, and I think that works really well for them.”

One universal system would be helpful, so I don’t have to work out what to do every time. Streaming directly into my hearing aids would be most successful for me.”
– Person with hearing loss and tinnitus, using hearing aids
I would like theatres to offer modern, easy-to-use assistive listening systems that connect directly to hearing aids without requiring users to borrow separate receivers or neckloops.”
– Person with hearing loss, using hearing aids
My processor isn’t Auracast enabled yet. It’s Auracast ready, but it’s not enabled. Once it’s enabled – to be able to just walk in a theatre and just click the button really, and I’m now in Auracast mode, would be really useful. I mean, I wouldn’t have to leave the restaurant early to sort out my settings. I just turn it on.”

Happy customers will come back
A truly accessible experience will bring customers with hearing loss back time and time again, and they’ll spread the word about their good experience.
I’ve been back to the Delfont Mackintosh group of theatres who do use Auracast . . . and I’ve also been to [another theatre], which uses the old [infrared] system. And I noticed a marked difference in their system compared to having got used to using the Auracast. The Auracast is much clearer and much louder”
– Person with hearing loss, using hearing aids
Definitely, [I would go back to theatres that use Auracast]. Without a doubt. I can just get much more from the show than I could without it. I tend to go and see musicals because I can hear the music and the speaking doesn’t matter quite so much. But when they are speaking, I get much more than without the Auracast there.”

We invite reviewers to our venue […] one of those people was a hearing aid user. We were in a regular dialogue with him because every time he was invited to a press night his system failed […] since we’ve had Auracast […] he’s attended events […] but he stopped talking to me. And I’m taking the fact he’s no longer talking to me to be an absolute win.”
