Gifts in Wills funds over two-thirds of our income and are vital to the work we do
Every gift left, by our generous supporters like you, no matter what size, makes a real difference to our work.
And yet we’re still seriously underfunded. In fact, just 83p was spent on ear research per person living with hearing loss in 2018. £193 was spent on cancer research per person living with cancer, and £16 spent on eye research per person living with sight loss.
For every £1 we receive, 88p goes to help people who are deaf, have hearing loss, or tinnitus.
A gift in your Will funds vital research
Research holds the key to a better tomorrow for people with hearing loss and tinnitus and RNID is funding important research projects at the UCL Ear Institute. This is made possible by gifts left in the Wills of our very generous supporters.
Stephen’s story
After struggling with tinnitus and hearing loss since 1975, Stephen became profoundly deaf in 2001 and received a cochlear implant in 2006. Stephen has left RNID a gift in his Will as he wants to support research into future hearing technology, ensuring that future generations can experience the soundtrack to life.
