System monitoring during the show
Checking that the Auracast streams are working and broadcasting the correct content for the duration of a show is crucial. This includes verifying the signal level, not just that a signal is present. See also Equipment for system monitoring.
It is usually the responsibility of the sound engineer to ensure the right content is being broadcast at the right time. Only by checking the received signal can this be confirmed.
Customers may experience signal dropouts if other devices are causing interference. The impact of that interference can be localised to a specific area of the venue, so system monitoring checks should be completed at different locations. Areas where the RF signal is weakest are the most susceptible to interference, so prioritise those areas.
Checks should be recorded for quality assurance purposes and could be included in show reports.
