Thank you for signing up for RNID Connect. You’ll find your first installment of BSL videos below.

This month you’ll learn how to start conversations with greetings and how to introduce yourself. Even a simple greeting can make a big difference to deaf people. Check out the videos below, and do not forget to share your progress using #RNIDConnect.

Things to remember when using BSL

- Remember to use facial expressions as well as signing with your hands – watch the videos carefully below. BSL users will read your face as well as your hands.

- Remember to face the person you’re communicating with directly, so they can see you clearly.

- Practice makes perfect. Practice BSL in front of a mirror, or with friends and family, to embed your learning.
