Dr Torsten Marquardt’s research at the UCL Ear Institute, funded by RNID, is studying an innovative new way of delivering drugs and other therapies into the inner ear.

Stephen’s story

After struggling with tinnitus and hearing loss since 1975, Stephen became profoundly deaf in 2001 and received a cochlear implant in 2006. Stephen has left RNID a gift in his Will as he wants to support research into future hearing technology, ensuring that future generations can experience the soundtrack to life.
