We offer funding to support discovery and translational research and to build research capacity through a number of grant schemes.
We fund research into hearing loss and tinnitus for the discovery and development of new medical treatments to:
- prevent hearing loss
- restore hearing
- silence tinnitus.
If you’d like to be notified of new grant calls, please email firstname.lastname@example.org and ask to be added to our research mailing list.
Our Fellowship scheme aims to build research capacity in hearing research, by supporting the career development of the UK’s most talented new ‘investigators’ towards becoming independent scientists.
Discovery Research Grant
Our Discovery Research Grants support projects that will generate knowledge to underpin the discovery of treatments for hearing loss or tinnitus, or improve how new treatments are developed and tested.
The Translational Grant aims to support and accelerate the translation of research discoveries into potential new treatments to protect and regenerate hearing and silence tinnitus. It funds projects at both academic institutions and small or medium enterprises in any country.
The projects should bring tangible benefits closer for people who are deaf, have tinnitus or hearing loss. One of this year’s awards in the area of tinnitus research will be jointly funded with the British Tinnitus Association.
Our Flexi Grant scheme aims to provide funding to support a range of valuable small scale activities which will strengthen hearing research in new and unexpected ways to benefit people with hearing loss, tinnitus or other hearing-related conditions.
