Welcome to ACTivate Your Life: Deaf Wellbeing online course.
The course is about learning how to look after yourself, both your mind and your body. It will give you the resources to be able to carry on well. Everyone’s life is the same – up and down, up and down – sometimes you can feel low, anxious, stressed, or emotional, which can affect your sleep. You might want some information and tips on how to look after yourself.
The course was created by psychologist Dr Neil Frude. He has conducted research and has found different ways that can help people to manage their everyday life. This is the information that we want to share. A group of deaf volunteers have worked closely with Neil to create the course in BSL.
The course consists of four sessions – Act 1-4.
Starting with Act 1 – watch the video, think about what is says and take in the information. When you have finished, take your time to process information and practice the tips that have been given. When you are ready to move on, you can watch Act 2. Then Act 3 and 4. Each video is the same process. You can take your time when processing information and practicing the tips given. There is no rush.
