Old name, new purpose: why we’ve gone back to RNID

Get help with benefits

If you live in Scotland and are deaf or have hearing loss, we can help you find and apply for benefits and support.

The coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak means we’ve paused our face-to-face services, but local advisers are still here to help remotely if you have any questions about finding welfare benefits and advice.

How we can help

You may be entitled to benefits or support whether you are in work, looking for work or retired.

We can help you:

  • find financial and wellbeing support
  • with new and existing claims and appeals
  • find information on changes to benefits
  • see what other services are available near you.

This service is currently available to anyone in Scotland who is deaf or has hearing loss or tinnitus, and their families and carers.
