A cochlear implant or auditory brainstem implant may be an option if you get little or no benefit from hearing aids.
Cochlear implants
If you have severe to profound hearing loss in both ears and aren’t benefiting from hearing aids, a cochlear implant could be an option.
Auditory brainstem implants
If your hearing nerve is damaged, hearing aids or a cochlear implant won’t help, but an auditory brainstem implant might.
