Founded in 2005, the UCL Ear Institute is a crucial partner of RNID and a major force in the ongoing search for new and better treatments that can change the lives of people with hearing loss and tinnitus.

Stephen’s story

After struggling with tinnitus and hearing loss since 1975, Stephen became profoundly deaf in 2001 and received a cochlear implant in 2006. Stephen has left RNID a gift in his Will as he wants to support research into future hearing technology, ensuring that future generations can experience the soundtrack to life.
